Stages of Development of the Hronas Company
1993
- The Company HRONAS UAB was incorporated to start with imports of multiple glazed plastic windows from former Slovakia. Mr. Valdemaras EICAS was appointed to the post of the Director General of HRONAS UAB.
1995
- The first production line for making PVC windows from Austrian profile ACTUAL was installed.
- The secondary company ALTAVIS UAB was incorporated to implement the manufacturing of plastic windows. Mr. Jonas TUBINIS was appointed to the ALTAVIS UAB Head’s position.
- The one thousandth order was placed for manufacturing.
- The Company had one manager and 5 workers.
- The representatives’ offices were established in Utena, Klaipeda and Marijampole.
- The daily production output was 30 windows.
- Production area covered 400 sq. m.
- HRONAS UAB initiated the development of a new activity area: sales and servicing of German cleaning equipment KARCHER. The Company was appointed to be the authorized representative of the KARCHER.
1996
- Manufacturing of aluminum windows was started. The Department for Manufacturing of Aluminum Windows was headed by Mr. Vytautas VANKEVICIUS.
1997
- Manufacturing of wooden windows was started. Mr. Jonas Tubinis appointed to head the Department for Manufacturing of Wooden Windows.
- Mr. Antanas PAKSYS became the Head of ALTAVIS UAB.
1998
- First aluminum facades were produced.
1999
- The secondary company HRONO STATYBA UAB was incorporated to perform mounting of plastic and wooden windows and doors.
- General turnover of all companies reached up to 24.9 million Litas.
2000
- German concern SCHUECO INTERNATIONAL started the supplies of plastic profiles.
- Production of five-cell profile windows was started.
- Production of plastic and wooden windows with aluminum covering from the outside was started.
- Aluminum – glass facades were mounted in the office buildings by OMNITEL, BITE, Lietuvos Telekomas and at other objects.
- Exports to the Scandinavian countries and Belarus were started.
- Sales amounted to 30.4 million Litas.
2001
- Production of wooden Danish-standard windows was started.
- International quality management standard ISO 9002 was introduced.
- Sales amounted to 39 million Litas.
2002
- Aluminum – glass facades gained a leading position in this area, all over Lithuania.
- Design, production and mounting of facades made of wood – aluminum – glass structures were started (residential house in the Sierakausko Str., Sapiegos Dominion).
- Sales reached up to 61 million Litas.
2003
- Ultra modern, 8-cell profile windows made of German SCHUECO profile CORONA SI 82+ with excellent thermal insulation properties were introduced.
- Plastic windows’ production capacities were expanded up to 25,000 sq. m./ month.
- Manufacturing of wooden windows was restructured: the area of the Wooden Structures Workshop reached 7,000 sq. m., and its production capacities up to 4000 sq.m./ month.
- Production of aluminum structures was also expanded up to 7000 sq.m. per month.
- The first foreign design project with aluminum structures, a hotel in Iceland ICELANDIC HOTEL was implemented.
- International standards were introduced: for quality – ISO 9001:2000 and environment - ISO 14000.
- Sales reached up to 90.8 million Litas.
- The number of employees exceeded 600.
- HRONAS celebrated its 10th anniversary.
2004
- Façade window system H10 was developed, remarkable for its unique sound insulation properties (45dB to compare with that of a simple window 34 dB).
- A new brand ŠILTAS LANGAS was developed.
- HRONAS UAB, ALTAVIS UAB and HRONO STATYBA UAB joined into the HRONAS Group. The activities of HRONAS UAB had been restructured by separating functions of the business centers of HRONAS Windows and HRONAS Facades.
- The Servicing Department was founded to provide warranty and non-warranty window maintenance services.
- HRONO Karcher Department was transformed into an independent activity center. Mr. Gintautas KALINAUSKAS was appointed to head this center.
- Aluminum – glass structures were mounted at such well-known objects as the highest office building in the Baltic States Europa (33 storeys), largest supermarket ERMITAŽAS and other.
- The Group has 34 authorized representatives.
- Exports made to 9 foreign countries.
- Sales of the HRONO Group reached up to 116 million Litas.
- The number of employees grew up to 700.
2005
- A new brand TAUPUS LANGAS was developed.
- A long-term cooperation agreement was signed with the International Construction Company NCC, Danish firm NCC Constructions Denmark.
